In his professional debut season, Stewart earned a record 10, AMA 125cc U.S. Motocross overall victories, en route to winning the series championship title… Stewart won three of eight AMA 125 West Region Supercross events, had two additional series podium finishes, and ended that season as runner-up for the title… Named AMA Motocross/Supercross Rookie of the Year… Raced with Chevy Trucks Kawasaki team.
2001
Stewart claimed his 11th AMA Amateur National title, earning the record for most career AMA amateur national championships and surpassing Ricky Carmichael as the alltime winningest AMA amateur rider… Spent his entire amateur racing career with Kawasaki Team Green, dating back to 1993.
